Welcome to Ask The Teacher

A Jewish light illuminating the Bible (TaNaCH), the New Testament—and beyond.

Hello, I’m Sidney Davis, a Judaic biblical scholar and research specialist with a passion for uncovering the deep, authentic Jewish context of Scripture—both the Hebrew Bible (TaNaCH) and the New Testament. My mission is to counter anti-Semitism and anti-Judaism that have often been embedded in Christian interpretation and exegesis. By restoring the Jewish voice of the biblical text, I seek to bridge centuries of theological misunderstanding and illuminate the original intent of the sacred writings.

Through rigorous research and scholarship, I delve into the Hebraic foundations of the New Testament, treating it as authentic Jewish literature. This work highlights how Jewish thought, traditions, and historical context shape the teachings of the early Jewish followers of Yeshua (Jesus). As a specialist in Black Judaism, I also explore the vibrant and diverse expressions of Jewish identity across time, culture, and geography.
